The area is a bit dodgy! And after 7pm the hotel is full of prostitutes. I would not recommend! Date of stay March 2013. Additionally, there have been reports of human trafficking and arrests in connection with prostitution stings in and around Panama City.

Authorities have released arrest information in connection to human trafficking and prostitution-related crimes. For example, in 2022, police and the FBI took part in a massive prostitution sting, resulting in multiple arrests.
